BUTLER COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- A Montgomery man was pronounced dead after there were several collisions on I-65 in Butler County around noon Tuesday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Thaddeus Richardson Jr., 34, was fatally injured when a Chevrolet Silverado hit the Ford Mustang he was sitting in. The Mustang was stationary after a previous crash. The driver's side door of the Mustang was open when the Silverado hit the car, causing Richardson to be ejected.

Richardson later died at the scene. A 1-year-old passenger in the Mustang was injured and taken to an area hospital. The driver of the Silverado was transported to Greenville Regional Medical Center for medical treatment.
