2 killed in Cherokee County head-on crash, 4 others injured

Troopers said a Jeep Cherokee crashed head-on into a Toyota Corolla on U.S. 411.

A woman and a juvenile have been killed in a collision that also injured the other adults and a juvenile in Cherokee County, Alabama.Troopers said it happened Friday around 9 p.m. when a 2022 Jeep Cherokee crashed head-on into a 2009 Toyota Corolla on U.S. 411 about three miles north of Centre.Teri J. Brann, 72, of La Quinta, Georgia, was a passenger in the Jeep. She was critically injured and taken to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Cherokee, where she was pronounced dead.A 12-year-old from Rockmart, Georgia, a passenger in the Corolla, was also critically injured. The youth was pronounced dead at a hospital.The Corolla's driver, Joshua S. Williams, 19, of Anniston, was injured and taken to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia.The driver of the Jeep, Kelvin H. Mullins, 49, and his passenger Erin W. Mullins, 50, both of Cummings, Georgia, were taken to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia.An 18-year-old juvenile passenger in the Jeep was taken to an area hospital for treatment.Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.

Teri J. Brann, 72, of La Quinta, Georgia, was a passenger in the Jeep. She was critically injured and taken to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Cherokee, where she was pronounced dead.
