A 30-year-old woman was killed Tuesday morning after the vehicle she was driving collided head-on with a commercial truck in south Alabama, authorities said.

Monica Gail McCall, 30, of Red Level, was driving a 2018 Toyota Rav4 that collided head-on with a 1995 Peterbilt 379 around 8:08 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 84 near the 112-mile marker in Conecuh County, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Kendra McKinney.

McCall was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck about 15 miles west of Evergreen, said McKinney.

Further information was unavailable as state troopers continued to investigate the wreck.
