BUT THERE IS A LOT HAPPENING THIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND. HERE ARE A COUPLE IDEAS THAT YOU CAN CHECK OUT WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. SOME OF THEM, BY THE WAY, ARE FREE. SO FIRST UP, LIVE MUSIC AT RAILROAD PARK. SOUNDS PRETTY COOL, RIGHT? IT’S CALLED SYMPHONY IN THE SUMMER. IT’S HAPPENING TONIGHT. TOMORROW AND SUNDAY NIGHT. AND THIS FEATURES THE ALABAMA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, SUNDAY’S PERFORMANCE IS GOING TO HAVE A PATRIOTIC TRIBUTE FOR MEMORIAL DAY AND SOME POPULAR MOVIE TUNES. YOU CAN BRING A PICNIC WITH YOU. THEY’LL ALSO BE VENDORS WITH FOOD AND DRINK FOR SALE. THE MUSIC STARTS AT 730. NOW SPEAKING OF MEMORIAL DAY, TOMORROW MORNING, YOU CAN HELP PLACE FLAGS AT EACH HEADSTONE AT THE ALABAMA NATIONAL CEMETERY IN MONTEVALLO. VOLUNTEERS ARE GOING TO GATHER AT NINE IN THE MORNING AND THEY’LL PLACE OVER 10,000 FLAGS AT THE CEMETERY. IF YOU’RE INTERESTED, MEET AT COMMITTAL SHELTER NUMBER THREE. FINALLY, CHECK OUT THE THIRD ANNUAL GRILLED CHEESE FESTIVAL IN DOWNTOWN HANCEVILLE TOMORROW. THAT’S FROM NINE IN THE MORNING UNTIL THREE IN THE AFTERNOON.
