A 94-year-old woman is recovering after being shot while inside her home in Cherokee County Sunday night.Sheriff Jeff Shaver said deputies got a 911 call that the woman was shot when a bullet came through a window in the Wildwood Cove area.They arrived at the home on County Road 620 and found the woman had been shot.Stay up-to-date: The latest headlines and weather from WVTM 13 Floyd EMS took the victim to a local hospital for medical treatment, and she is expected to recover.Deputies found four people in a wooded area across the cove who had shot into a neighboring patch of woods without a proper backstop.
