STORMS SO YOU’LL KNOW FIRST. THIS IS WVTM 13 WEATHER. CHECK OUT THIS BEAUTIFUL OUT THERE THIS EASTER SUNDAY. GOOD DEAL OF SUNSHINE. SOME FAIR WEATHER. CUMULUS CLOUDS ALSO MIXED IN TO THAT SKY. TEMPERATURES TODAY MANAGED TO MAKE IT UP IN SEVERAL INSTANCES TO 70 DEGREES. SO OVERALL, JUST A REALLY NICE DAY TO SPEND. PERHAPS SOME TIME OUTDOORS, THICKER CLOUD COVER DOWN TO OUR SOUTH. SO WE GOT LUCKY. WE HAD THAT SUNSHINE BREAK OUT FOR THE AFTERNOON, MAYBE A LITTLE MORE CLOUD COVER RIGHT NOW ACROSS WESTERN PORTIONS OF OUR STATE. CLEAR SKIES IN THE FORECAST AS WE GO THROUGH THE NIGHTTIME HOURS AND INTO OUR MONDAY. 67 AND GADSDEN RIGHT NOW, 70 IN BIRMINGHAM, 71, TUSCALOOSA UPPER SIXTIES ANNISTON CLINTON 64. COLEMAN AND HALEYVILLE. SO NOT TOO BAD OUT THERE RIGHT NOW. BUT AS THAT SUN GOES DOWN THIS EVENING, TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO GET CHILLY AND CHILLY RATHER QUICK, DOWN TO 61 AT 953 AROUND MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. OVERNIGHT TONIGHT, TEMPERATURES INTO THE MIDDLE TO UPPER FORTIES. FIRST THING TOMORROW MORNING, EAST ALABAMA IN THE LOW FORTIES. SO IT’S GOING TO BE A RATHER CHILLY START TO OUR MONDAY WITH TEMPERATURES BELOW AVERAGE TOMORROW MORNING. BUT A NICE REBOUND AGAIN EXPECTED TOMORROW AFTERNOON. WE’RE BACK UP TO AROUND 70 DEGREES AND A WARMING TREND FOR THE UPCOMING WEEK, 72 TUESDAY, 76 DEGREES. WEDNESDAY, MIDDLE SEVENTIES AGAIN FOR THURSDAY. AVERAGE HIGH FOR THIS POINT AND APRIL IS 74 DEGREES WILL BE CLOSE TO OR JUST ABOVE AVERAGE BY THE TIME WE REACH THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. DRY WEATHER THROUGH WEDNESDAY. THEN WE’RE WATCHING DOWN TO OUR SOUTH AS AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS GOING TO FORM IN THE NORTHERN GULF OF MEXICO. SOME OF THAT MOISTURE SPREADING OUR WAY THURSDAY AND INTO FRIDAY. I DON’T ANTICIPATE ANTICIPATE A TON OF RAIN WITH THIS SYSTEM, CERTAINLY NOT SEVERE WEATHER, BUT WE’LL WATCH FOR THOSE RAIN CHANCES TO INCREASE FOR THE END OF THE WEEK. LOOKS LIKE MORE UNSETTLED WEATHER COULD HAVE OUR WAY FOR NEXT WEEKEND AS WELL. SO WILL ENJOY THE DRY WEATHER, THE SUNSHINE AND COMFORTABLE TEMPERATURES THROUGH WEDNESDAY. THOSE HIGHER RAIN CHANCES ARRIVING THURSDAY AND FRIDAY OF THE UPCOMING WORKWEEK. HERE’S OUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST. SOME BEAUTIFUL WEATHER TOMORROW, 47 IN THE MORNING. SO CHILLY, 70 IN THE AFTERNOON. A TOUCH WARMER TUESDAY MID SEVENTIES, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY. THAT CHANCE FOR SHOWERS COMING IN FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, DRYING OUT SATURDAY, TURNING WARMER. HIGHS IN THE EIGHTIES. WE COULD SEE MORE SHOWERS RETURNING TO THE FORECAST, ESPECIALLY FOR THE SECOND HALF OF NEXT WEEKEND.

We expect low temperatures to drop into the mid 40's for many spots overnight, but areas in east Alabama will likely bottom out in the lower 40's. Chilly! Skies will be mainly clear after sunset with a light breeze out of the east.FANTASTIC WEATHERA cool air ‘wedge’ in place over the weekend, continues to influence our weather forecast for the early part of the week. That will lead to cool mornings, but absolutely fantastic springtime weather for the afternoons through Wednesday. Lows will be in the 40's and highs in the low to mid 70's.Later into the week, a slow-moving low forms in the northern Gulf of Mexico. As the moisture associated with this lifts north, rain chances return to central Alabama. At this time it looks like Thursday and Friday will be the wettest two days.
