For the first time in program history, Alabama football’s required gameday availability report has been released by the SEC. All three of the Crimson Tide’s entries on the report throughout the week were listed as game-time decisions in Saturday’s matchup with Georgia.
Linebackers Jeremiah Alexander and Qua Russaw, along with running back Richard Young were listed as probable all week. They were changed to game-time decisions on the final report, released 90 minutes before kickoff at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The SEC is requiring teams to release availability reports every day starting Wednesday of conference game weeks. Saturday’s matchup with Georgia is Alabama’s first league game of the 2024 campaign.
Malachi Moore and Cole Adams were not listed on the report. Kalen DeBoer implied both of them were available during his Wednesday radio show appearance.
Georgia was significantly more beat up than the Crimson Tide. However, the report did list defensive lineman Mykel Williams as a game-time decision, positive news for Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs.
Williams’ fellow defensive lineman Jordan Hall is out for Saturday. The Bulldogs are also down two wide receivers in London Humphreys and Sacovie White, as well as running back Roderick Robinson and offensive lineman Tate Ratledge.
Both teams are coming off bye weeks for Saturday’s matchup. The Crimson Tide beat Wisconsin on the road last time out, and the Bulldogs survived a scare against Kentucky
Alabama and Georgia are scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT in Tuscaloosa. The game will be aired on ABC.
