BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- The Alabama African American Civil Rights Heritage Sites Consortium, Inc. is collaborating with 20 historic churches that played significant roles during the Civil Rights Movement.

The Alabama African American Civil Rights Heritage Sites Consortium Winter Convening is a two-day professional development series focused on strengthening civil rights tourism and preparing local sites for the 60th commemoration of Bloody Sunday and the Voting Rights Act under the theme: "A Tale of Three Cities and One Movement."
