IT SHOULD BE BACK TO NORMAL AROUND EIGHT HOURS. WELL, ONE LOCAL ORGANIZATION JUST GOT A GENEROUS DONATION THAT WILL THEN HELP GO TO VICTIMS OF HURRICANE HELENE. HIGH SOCKS FOR HOPE ANNOUNCED TODAY THAT ESPN COLLEGE GAME DAY HOST PAT MCAFEE, KIRK HERBSTREIT AND NICK SABAN HAVE DONATED MONEY TO THE NONPROFIT LAST GAME DAY SHOW. THEY MENTIONED THAT THEY WOULD MAKE A $500,000 DONATION TO AID IN THE AFTERMATH OF HELENE. WHILE WE DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH OF THAT IS GOING TO THE ORGANIZATION, ONE THING’S FOR SURE IT WILL CERTAINLY HELP. An organization centered on helping those dealing with disasters just got a big donation.High Socks of Hope, based in Northport, announced some ESPN announcers, including former Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban, have made a generous donation.It was announced during a sports show that the sports announcers would make a $500,000 donation to aid in the recovery efforts for people affected by Hurricane Helene.It's unclear how much of that total donation is going to the Northport organization, but the money will help folks in need.High Socks for Hope will be sending mold kits and new furniture to the hardest hit areas.Coming Together: Project CommUNITY
