Alabama's average gas price jumps 9 cents in a week
The average price for gas in Alabama crept up this week, but still remains lower than the national average.According to AAA, the price for regular unleaded in Alabama Oct. 12, is $2.86 a gallon.That's up nine cents from last week and four cents from the price a month ago.But that's still lower than the average of $3.17 last year at this time.AAA said Morgan County had the state's lowest average price at $2.79 and the highest was in Perry County at $3.07.The national average price for Oct. 12 was $3.20, said AAA.Follow Interactive traffic map
