An Alabama teen wanted on a murder charge in the death of his father was arrested Saturday morning in Colorado.

The Colorado Springs Fugitive Task Force was able to take Ethan Stuckey, 18, of Enterprise into custody without incident, according to a news release from the Enterprise Police Department.

Russell Stuckey’s body was found in an Enterprise residence around 6 p.m. on April 7 when local firefighters responded to a gas leak call in the 300 block of Daleville Avenue. Authorities later discovered that the 42-year-old man had been shot, and his death was ruled a homicide.

The teen was developed as a person of interest in the case, and investigators were able to obtain an arrest warrant. No motive has been given in the case.

EPD detectives are working on the extradition process to bring Ethan Stuckey back to Alabama.

“The Enterprise Police Department would like to thank the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Elba PD, Colorado Springs PD, Colorado Springs Fugitive Task Force and the ATF for their assistance in this investigation,” Enterprise Capt. Billy Haglund said in the news release.
