ALEA's State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a shooting involving an officer with the Vestavia Hills Police Department.

Around 1 a.m. Friday, VHPD officers began pursuing a vehicle along I-65, according to ALEA.

The pursuit traveled into northern Birmingham where two suspects were eventually taken into custody.
