Arrest in deadly May shooting in Birmingham's Woodlawn neighborhood

A 20-year-old has been arrested in shooting that killed a man nearly six months ago in Birmingham.Douglas Fitzgerald Youngblood Jr. was shot just before midnight on May 15 on First Avenue South near 55th Street in Woodlawn.Birmingham police have arrested Brandon Davis, who investigators say was traveling in the same vehicle as Youngblood at the time of the shooting.> > PREVIOUS COVERAGE: 29-year-old dies at UAB Hospital from shooting in Birmingham's Woodlawn neighborhoodPolice say ShotSpotter picked up four shots fired in the area and when they arrived, officers found Youngblood lying in the road near his own crashed vehicle.He died at UAB Hospital from his gunshot wounds. On Tuesday, Davis was in the Jefferson County Jail on unrelated charges and homicide detectives took him to police headquarters for an interview.
