Two teens from Tuskegee and a man from Auburn are now in jail, charged with the deaths of four people inside a birthday party in Dadeville. Authorities held a press conference in Dadeville on Wednesday. They wanted to make sure people understand even after three arrests in this case, the investigation is far from over.They're asking anyone who was at the Sweet 16 birthday party in the old Bank of Dadeville building Saturday night to come forward. They say they want to talk to them even if they didn't see anything or left before the shooting that left 4 dead and 32 injured. Sgt. Jeremy Burkett, an ALEA Spokesperson said, “It's going to take personal courage of the individuals that were there that night to come forward, to come talk to law enforcement, tell the truth. We need that information.” Mike Segrest, the 5th Circuit Court District Attorney, said the teens arrested will be charged as adults. He says he's seeking justice in a case that's very personal to him. Segrest said, “Some of these kids are kids of friends of mine, people that I went to school with, people that I played ball with and against, in the community back in high school. And these are my kids. These are our kids. Don't mess with our kids. Do not mess with our kids.” Dadeville’s police chief, Jonathan Floyd, says the wounds in this community won't heal quickly and asks for everyone to continue praying for the victims, families and residents. Floyd added, “In a few days most of you are going to be gone. Our community is still going to be here are victims. People that are affected are still going to be here.
