Auburn duo from Birmingham wins BASS College National Championship

Auburn University owns another national championship, and the Auburn Family has Hayden Marbut and Tucker Smith to thank.Hayden and Tucker have just returned from Pickwick Lake in Tennessee, where Saturday, they won the 2023 Bassmaster College Championship. Hayden and Tucker had a huge 5-fish aggregate of 18 pounds in the final round- they beat out 131 other teams in the 3-day tournament with a total of over 53 pounds.This was no case of getting lucky, as Hayden and Tucker know the art of fishing. They won the National High School Bass title in 2020 when they were at Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham. This past spring, they won the ACA National College Championship.Being an elite bass angler takes knowledge, long hours and a huge commitment.Let's all congratulate these Auburn students for their accomplishment!
