Auburn’s Johni Broome has officially been cleared and checked in at the 17:19 mark against Tennessee Saturday night.
Broome has missed two games with an ankle injury he suffered against South Carolina. According to Saturday‘s Southeastern Conference availability report, he was listed as a game time decision.
During the ESPN College Gameday live show, Bruce Pearl spoke on the status of the All-American big man saying there is a chance he plays.
“I think there’s a chance,” Pearl said. “I think he’ll warm up. ... He wants to play. But in warmups if he doesn’t feel good about it, he’s not going to play.”
In the Tigers highest-ranked game in program history, the return of its national player of the year contender who is averaging 17.9 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 3.3 assists, will be essential to Auburn’s gameplan.
