Auburn star center Johni Broome is officially questionable for Saturday’s game against Tennessee, according to Friday’s Southeastern Conference availability report.
Broome missed each of Auburn’s previous two games after suffering a sprained left ankle during Auburn’s win over South Carolina on Jan. 11. The injury occurred after Broome jumped for a rebound and landed awkwardly on Chaney Johnson’s left foot.
Auburn won its two games without Broome, beating Mississippi State 88-66 and Georgia 70-68.
"To beat two teams that are nationally ranked, and to go to beat Georgia at Georgia, who had won 13 in a row at home. Road wins are really hard to get in our league," Pearl said when speaking to reporters Thursday. “To be able to do that without our best player does speak to the depth and the balance of our team.”
Auburn’s game against Tennessee is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night. It will be streaming live on ESPN.
