Hoover’s top-ranked Class 7A boys basketball team added to its unblemished resume on Thursday on a long, long road trip – about 4,238 miles.

The Bucs won their opening-round game in the Alaska Airlines Classic to earn a semifinals berth with a 69-26 rout of Service, Alaska, at West Anchorage High School. Hoover led 25-6 after one quarter, 50-8 at the half and played the final two quarters with a running clock.
