Big changes ahead as an iconic Birmingham street becomes more ‘complete’

Birmingham’s Richard Arrington Jr Boulevard – after decades as a one-way route from Southside to downtown - is now a two-way street.

The change on the former 21st Street, between Highland Avenue and 16th Avenue South, is a result of a citywide resurfacing program aimed at pedestrian safety.
