Birmingham police are searching for the person who killed a man in the Glen Iris community Saturday morning.Police were called to the 1000 block of 24th Avenue South around 6:30 a.m. on a report of a person shot. When they arrived they found a man lying in the middle of the street. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Services efforts to resuscitate the man were not successful and they pronounced him dead at the scene.Police told WVTM 13 that neighbors heard a loud commotion outside and that is when they called the police.Investigators do not know a motive at this time.Police ask anyone with information about this to call them at 205-254-1764 or contact Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
