Chez Fonfon’s famous cheese burger has once again been recognized as the best in Alabama by a global foodie digital publication.
Last month, Love FOOD, a UK based company, whose mission is to produce fresh, precise and insightful food and recipe content, praised Pardis and Frank Stitt’s legendary burger as best in the Yellowhammer State.
It seems like every couple years they are given the title.

- Daily Meal — National food & drink publication names Chez Fonfon best burger in Alabama

What makes the burger special?
Chez Fonfon’s owner and legendary Chef Frank Stitt told us locally sourced beef and fresh ingredients make it standout.
“While my Francophile self loves all of our other, more French foods, the Hamburger Fonfon is pretty hard to beat. We grind the beef sourced from Niman Ranch or Joyce Farms and make fresh buns every day along with a homemade Dijonnaise, and we grill thick-cut red onions until they are sweet.”
Love FOOD is not only a fan of Chez Fonfon’s cheeseburger. The global publication “loves” Chez Fonfon so much, they added it to their “Bucket List Restaurants from Every State” ranking it 27th nationally. Now that’s high praise!
