A child on an ATV was hit by a vehicle Saturday afternoon in west Birmingham.
The wreck happened at 4:20 p.m. in the 3400 block of Avenue G.
Birmingham police said the 6-year-old boy was on a four-wheeler. No additional details have yet been released.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service transported the boy to Children’s of Alabama, said BFRS Lt. Catina Williams.
Police described the child’s injuries as “major.”
