Child rushed to hospital after incident at swimming pool

Local late breaking W V T M 13 news at five starts now. And thanks for joining us here at five. I'm Jarvis Robertson and I'm Gladys Bautista. We start with *** developing story out of Birmingham. This afternoon, *** 12 year old child was, was rushed to the hospital this afternoon after *** possible emergency in the water at *** home in the Roebuck neighborhood. And right now, we want to get out to W V T M thirteen's Chip Scarborough who's live at Children's hospital with what we've learned so far. Hey Chip, good afternoon, Jarvis and Gladys. What we know right now is that 12 year old child was taken by ambulance here to children's of Alabama about three o'clock this afternoon. Just *** few moments ago, we learned that child is in critical condition. Take *** look at some video. We shot just about an hour ago. We found several Birmingham police cars parked in front of the home where this happened on Charles court and the area and *** swimming pool above ground. Birmingham fire and rescue crews had already left the scene by the time we arrived and that's because they rushed the child here to Children's of Alabama. Right after performing CPR.
