ALL RIGHT, JORDAN, THANK YOU. WELL, A FIRE CAUSING PART OF A SHELBY COUNTY HOME TO COLLAPSE AS FIREFIGHTERS WERE WORKING TO PUT IT OUT. THE SAGINAW FIRE DEPARTMENT SAYING A CREW WAS CALLED OUT TO A HOME ON HIGHWAY 331 IN COLUMBIANA LAST NIGHT FOR A CHIMNEY FIRE. WHEN THEY GOT THERE, THEY FOUND FLAMES COMING FROM THE ATTIC AND THE BASEMENT. ABOUT AN HOUR INTO FIGHTING THE BLAZE, THE DEPARTMENT SAYS THE BRICK CHIMNEY LOST STABILITY AND WENT CRASHING INTO THE HOME. JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THIS PICTURE. THANKFULLY, NONE OF THE FIREFIGHTERS INSIDE THE HOME AT THE TIME WERE INJURED.

COLUMBIANA, Ala. —

No one was hurt after a chimney collapsed during a house fire in Columbiana.

The Saginaw Fire Department (SFD) posted on social media that firefighters were called to the 3000 block of Highway 331 about 8:30 p.m. Friday.

When crews arrived, they reported lots of flames seen in the attic and basement areas, said the fire department.

The SFD said about an hour into the firefighting efforts, a brick chimney collapsed into and outside the house where crews were working.
