I AM HERE AT THE JIMMY HILL MISSION, HERE AT THE KITCHEN, AND I JUST WANT YOU ALL TO GET A GOOD LOOK AT THE FOOD THAT IS GOING TO BE DISTRIBUTED TODAY. HAM, TURKEY DRESSING, CRANBERRY SAUCE, GREEN BEANS, YOU NAME IT. IT’S JUST GOING TO BE A WONDERFUL FEAST. AND THIS IS SOMETHING THAT JIMMY HILL DOES EVERY SINGLE YEAR. AND WE ACTUALLY HAVE THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE JIMMY HILL MISSION HERE WITH US. AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU. GOOD MORNING. MERRY CHRISTMAS. HOW ARE YOU TODAY? IT’S WONDERFUL DAY. AND SO I JUST WANT TO ASK YOU, YOU KNOW, WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING ABLE TO FEED THOSE IN NEED EVERY YEAR ON CHRISTMAS DAY? THIS IS WHAT WE’RE CALLED TO DO. GOD GAVE US THE ULTIMATE GIFT IN HIS BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST. AND SO WE’RE HERE TO BE HIS HANDS AND FEET IN THE WORLD. AND IT’S ALSO MY UNDERSTANDING THAT YOU ALL HAVE BEEN PARTNERING WITH MEALS ON WHEELS FOR THE LAST 20 SOMETHING YEARS NOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE HOMEBOUND SENIORS IN THE BIRMINGHAM COMMUNITY. THAT’S RIGHT. NO ONE SHOULD BE FORGOTTEN, ESPECIALLY ON CHRISTMAS. SO WE DON’T WANT ANYONE TO BE ALONE AND NOT HAVE A WARM MEAL. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT PARENT AND THAT DISTRIBUTION FOR THE HOMEBOUND SENIORS BEGAN AROUND 10 A.M
