City of Jasper announces death of Mayor David O'Mary

David O'Mary, longtime mayor of Jasper, has died.O'Mary's family reported his death to the Jasper City Council, department managers and city employees around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday."Mayor O’Mary loved the City of Jasper, its residents, business community, and employees," city officials wrote in a Facebook post Tuesday evening. "During his time as mayor, he led the way for the City of Jasper to achieve the greatest financial strength in its history and perhaps the greatest growth in retail and housing.
