The College Football Playoff National Championship Game at the end of the 2026 season will take place in Las Vegas, it was announced Friday.

The CFP title game will take place Jan. 25, 2027, at Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders. It’s the first time hosting the title game for Las Vegas, which was originally scheduled to host this year’s game before a scheduling conflict forced a move to Atlanta.

“College football fans across the country are going to be thrilled to hear this news today,” CFP executive director Rich Clark said. “Las Vegas has shown the world they have amazing venues and boundless energy to host an event like the College Football Playoff National Championship in spectacular fashion. I can’t think of a better stage to crown the best team in college football in 2027.”

Next season’s championship game is set for Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., which previously hosted in 2021. Brett McMurphy of Action Network has reported that New Orleans will host the January 2028 game and Tampa in January 2029, though CFP officials have not yet confirmed that news.
