Company to build new hangars and terminal at Birmingham's airport

An Austin, Texas-based company has pledged to begin business operations at Birmingham's airport.According to a news release from the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport, Million Air plans to build new hangars and a new terminal to service aviation users at the airport.As one of BHM's fixed based operators, Million Air will invest at least $32M to the airport."This partnership represents a lot of hard work and a commitment to elevating our game here at the airport," said Bill Smith, member of the board of the Birmingham Airport Authority and chair of the Review Committee. "Million Air is committed to making a huge investment in this community and creating an upscale experience for all customers.”Million Air's new terminal will serve pilots, aircraft owners and guests, military, and corporate business travellers.The company expects to begin operating out of the existing east side facilities June 1.
