EVENTS. EXCLUSIVE LIVE RADAR TRACKING STORMS SO YOU’LL KNOW. FIRST, THIS IS WVTM 13 WEATHER. WELL, IF YOU THOUGHT THIS MORNING WAS COLD, TEMPERATURES ARE STARTING TO PLUMMET ACROSS ALABAMA. WE’RE TAKING A LIVE LOOK NOW IN GADSDEN, WHERE THE SUN JUST SET. WE HAVE SOME PURPLE SKIES BEAUTIFUL OUT THERE ALONG THE COOSA RIVER ALREADY. 45 DEGREES OUT THERE IN GADSDEN. HOWEVER, GADSDEN IS TYPICALLY ONE OF THE COOLER SPOTS ON THE MAP. PUSHING THROUGH THE REST OF THIS EVENING, TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO DROP, DROPPING NEAR 15 DEGREES BY THE TIME WE WAKE UP TOMORROW MORNING. 38 BY 9 P.M. 1 A.M. OVERNIGHT, 34 BELOW FREEZING AFTER 3 A.M. WITH WINDS COMING IN OUT OF THE WEST. NOT GOING TO BE AS WINDY TOMORROW MORNING OR TOMORROW AT ALL AS IT WAS TODAY, SO WE WON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THOSE WIND CHILLS. BUT IT’S GOING TO BE SHIVERING COLD ON YOUR WAY OUT THE DOOR TOMORROW MORNING. I MEAN, JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THESE NUMBERS FROM 27 IN JASPER, 27 IN FAYETTE, 29 IN TUSCALOOSA, 29 IN GREENSBORO, 30 IN ELBERTA. SOME OF THE WARMER SPOTS ON THE MAP IS STILL NEAR FREEZING IN PLACES ALONG THE I-85 CORRIDOR NEAR MONTGOMERY AND AUBURN. SITTING AT 33 AND THEN 32. IN ALEXANDER CITY, 32 IN DAVISTON, 32, IN CLEVELAND. CLEVELAND. CROSSROADS. AND THEN I THINK SOME OF THE COOLER SPOTS WILL BE IN NORTHEAST ALABAMA TOWARDS THE I-20 CORRIDOR. 29 IN ALBERTVILLE, 26 IN BROOKSVILLE, 26 IN FOWLER SPRINGS. REMEMBER, NOT GOING TO BE AS WINDY EARLY TOMORROW MORNING AND THEN MOVING CLOSER TO THE METRO AREA. BIRMINGHAM TEMPERATURES STILL NEAR THAT FREEZING MARK FROM 28 IN GARDENDALE TO 30 IN BIRMINGHAM AND 31 DEGREES IN HOOVER. MOVING INTO THE AFTERNOON, THINGS ARE GOING TO WARM UP. WE HAVE SOME HIGH PRESSURE SETTLING ACROSS ALABAMA. ALL THAT MEANS IS GOING TO SEE PLENTY OF SUNSHINE. THAT’S GOING TO KEEP THINGS NICE AND WARM THROUGH THE DAY. HIGHS IN THE LOWER 50S. A COUPLE SPOTS LIKE COLEMAN BARELY SCRAPING THE UPPER 40S. AND AS WE MOVE INTO THIS WEEKEND, THINGS START TO CHANGE A LITTLE BIT. WE’LL SEE SOME SHOWERS ROLL IN SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING. HIGH SATURDAY 59, SUNDAY 62. LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT THAT FORECAST. SO THE RAIN STARTS IN EAST ALABAMA AS THIS COLD FRONT APPROACHES 7:00 PM SATURDAY AROUND DINNERTIME BECOMES MORE WIDESPREAD OVERNIGHT. SHOULD GET A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP. NO SEVERE WEATHER EXPECTED AND THIS WILL BE IMPACTING PARTS OF NORTH ALABAMA AS WE MOVE INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. SUNDAY. THIS IS 9 A.M. AND THIS WILL TAPER OFF THROUGHOUT THE DAY ON SUNDAY. TO RECAP, WE’RE GOING TO SEE SOME BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES THURSDAY MORNING AS WE MOVE INTO FRIDAY. IF YOU HAVE ANY LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING, HIGHS WILL BE IN THE MID 50S, BUT COOLER IN THE SHADE THAN IN THE SUNLIGHT. AND THOSE SHOWERS RETURN SATURDAY AND SUNDAY OF THIS UPCOMING WEEKEND. YOU’
