CONSTRUCTION IS UNDERWAY ON THE NEW CORDOVA ELEMENTARY CAMPUS AFTER 71 YEARS, TEACHERS, STAFF AND STUDENTS OF CORDOVA ELEMENTARY WILL HAVE A NEW HOME. A NEW CAMPUS HAS BEEN A PRIORITY FOR THE SUPERINTENDENT OF WALKER COUNTY SCHOOLS FOR A FEW YEARS, BUT FUNDING PREVENTED THE PROJECT FROM PROGRESSING UNTIL NOW. ISSUES WITH ELECTRICAL WIRING PLAGUED THE STUDENTS AND STAFF AT CORDOVA ELEMENTARY, BUT THIS PROBLEM WILL BE REMEDIED WITH STATE OF THE ART TECHNOLOGY ON THE NEW CAMPUS. THIS BUILDING IS 71 YEARS OLD. IT’S THE OLDEST BUILDING WE HAVE IN THE WALKER COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM, AND WE ARE SO THANKFUL THAT WE’RE ABLE TO PROVIDE THIS STATE OF THE ART EDUCATION SET UP WITH A STATE OF THE ART BUILDING, ODENVILLE GLADYS.
