The fifth-grader’s cries were loud and unabashed. Her sibling’s tears were real. Their father tried his best to stay composed. Their hearts were full, and yours is about to be, too.It was 2:30 p.m. on Friday when the special reader walked into class. The kids at Hanceville Elementary School in Hanceville, Alabama, turned toward the classroom door. That’s when Skyler Lee’s heart jumped out of her chest, and she jumped out of her chair. Her father- U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Kelvin Lee, was that special reader. The father, that has been gone for two full years serving our country overseas, was home.The gym at Hanceville High School was rocking. Chants of “USA, USA” erupted as SFC Lee walked into the gym. You see, Lee had moved over to the high school to surprise his kids Jaylon and Jazlyn at the pep rally prior to Hanceville’s game against Brewer.
