CULLMAN, Ala. —

A Cullman man drowned in Smith Lake Tuesday afternoon, according to the county coroner.

Thirty-six-year-old Cody Lindsay was attempting to retrieve a jet ski when he entered the water at Smith Lake Park; officials say he went under and never surfaced.

Lindsay's body was recovered around 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
