

Several Jefferson County restaurants—including Dave’s Hot Chicken on Hwy 31, BITE in Tarrant, Velma’s Karaoke Cafe in Trussville and more—received 95 and above on their food service scores this past December.
Since 2018, Bham Now has reported the monthly Jefferson County Department of Health restaurant food service scores. Each month, the Health Department inspects an average of 100+ local establishments that handle and serve food.
