THOSE WERE THE TOP THREE FINALISTS. SO THE BIG WINNER IS IS THE. 2023 BEST NEW FOOD, THE IOWA STATE FAIR. JONI BELL. WHAT’S YOUR CHEESE? COME ON OUT. WHAT’S YOUR CHEESE? IT COMES FROM? WHAT’S YOUR CHEESE? IT’S THE MAC AND CHEESE SANDWICH BETWEEN TWO SLICES OF BACON, CHEDDAR BREAD, THEN DEEP FRIED AND SERVED WITH RASPBERRY CHIPOTLE BARBECUE SAUCE. DOESN’T THAT SOUND GOOD? I WANT TO SHOW ALL THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE SCENES, YOU KNOW, MAKING IT HAPPEN. AND IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT ME. IT’S ALL OUR TEAM HERE THAT MAKES THIS THING HAPPEN. BECAUSE THERE’S A LOT OF WORK THAT GOES INTO THIS. YEAH, IT’S A DELICIOUS SANDWICH. SO WHAT’S YOUR CHEESE IS DIRECTLY SOUTH OF THE ANN AND BILL RILEY STAGE. Iowans have spoken, and a new food has been crowned the best of the 2023 Iowa State Fair.

What's Your Cheez's deep-fried bacon brisket mac and cheese grilled cheese is the winner.

It takes the baton from 2022's winner, The Finisher from The Rib Shack, an extra-large russet potato with brisket, pulled pork and brisket mac and cheese.
