Confirmed by a handwritten note on the counter, East Pole Coffee Co. on 1st Avenue South in Birmingham is closing on Saturday, February 1.

The Atlanta-based coffee shop moved into Birmingham’s Denham Building in June 2023.

Since then, it’s welcomed locals and newcomers alike with delicious coffee and treats.

It’s one of my personal favorite spots—whether I’m grabbing a quick cup of coffee or catching up with a friend.

East Pole to close on February 1

A sign on East Pole’s checkout counter reads:

“Dear loyal customers,

We will be closing February 1st. Huge thank you to all who have showed up over the years—we love you!”

You’ve got until Saturday, February 1 to say your goodbyes.
