The Samford Bulldogs are looking for a big 2023 season.Last year, the Bulldogs went 11-2 under head coach Chris Hatcher. The Bulldogs road in the FCS playoffs ended on the road against North Dakota State. The star on offense is quarterback Michael Hiers. The birmingham native is going into his senior year with the Bulldogs after a career best junior season. In 2022, Hiers threw for 3,534 yards and 36 touchdowns with just 4 interceptions.Samford hopes to win another SoCon championship with this 2023 team. The Bulldogs start their season on August 31st at home against Shorter.
