BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- One person is dead and two are injured following a two-vehicle crash in Blount County early Sunday morning, according to the Blountsville Fire and Rescue Department.
At around 12:09 a.m., BFRD was requested as mutual aid for a vehicle collision with entrapment and both vehicles on fire. Multiple units responded, and additional units from Cullman County were requested.
Upon arrival, units discovered three people involved in the crash. One individual was transported from the scene by Air Evac 15, and a second individual was transported by Lifeguard EMS.
The third person involved was pronounced dead on the scene after resuscitation efforts were made.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.
