A fire early Tuesday morning completely destroyed a former business building in Birmingham.Birmingham Fire and Rescue received the emergency call at 3:40 a.m. regarding a fire at 600 Third Avenue North. BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —

A fire early Tuesday morning completely destroyed a former business building in Birmingham.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue received the emergency call at 3:40 a.m. regarding a fire at 600 Third Avenue North.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered intense flames and heavy smoke within the two-story structure.
