CITYWALK ON AUGUST 5TH, SEVEN MONTHS AFTER HE WAS INJURED IN A FRIGHTENING CRASH, A FULTONDALE POLICE OFFICER RETURNS TO WORK NOW. LAST NOVEMBER, A DRIVER SLAMMED INTO OFFICER JEREMY JORDAN’S SUV. NOW, THIS HAPPENED ON I-65 FIVE NEAR THE WALKER CHAPEL ROAD EXIT. HE CALLS IT THE WORST MOMENT IN HIS CAREER. AND I HAD A CHANCE TO SIT DOWN WITH HIM AND LEARN MORE ABOUT HIS JOURNEY TO PUTTING BACK ON THE BADGE. I’LL BE SAFE, MAN. JUST STILL TRYING TO GET INTO THE SWING OF THINGS. AFTER NEARLY SEVEN MONTHS, OFFICER JEREMY JORDAN IS BACK AT WORK WITH THE FULTONDALE POLICE DEPARTMENT. BACK ON NOVEMBER 5TH, SOMEONE CRASHED INTO HIS PATROL CAR WHILE HE WAS HELPING A STALLED DRIVER ON I-65. UNFORTUNATELY, HE KNEW SOMETHING BAD WAS HAPPENING BECAUSE GUYS YELLING, I GOT IN THE WRONG POSITION AND EVERYTHING JUST WENT BLACK FROM THERE. THIS PICTURE SHOWING HIS SUV AFTER THE CRASH, MY ACCIDENT CAME FROM INDIVIDUAL WHO WAS INTOXICATED. HE OFTEN THINKS ABOUT THE WHAT IF SCARED, YOU KNOW, BECAUSE THINKING WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED? MY ENTIRE RIGHT ANKLE WAS CRUSHED. I HAD TO HAVE A PLATE IN THE OUTSIDE OF A RIGHT PUT ON THE INSIDE. HERE ARE PICTURES OF HIS ANKLE AFTER SURGERY, JORDAN HAS BEEN WITH FULTONDALE PD FOR TWO AND A HALF YEARS, BUT HAS 25 YEARS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPERIENCE. HE SAYS THIS IS THE WORST THING TO HAPPEN TO HIM. I KNOW WHAT COMES WITH THIS LINE OF WORK. YOU KNOW, YOU MAKE COME HOME. YOU MAY NOT. THE JOURNEY GETTING BACK TO WORK HAS BEEN PHYSICAL AND MENTALLY TOUGH. FIRST FEW MONTHS NOT BEING ABLE TO WALK WIFE HAVE BEEN HAVING TO HELP ME DO EVERYTHING. LAW ENFORCEMENT IS SOMETHING HE’S WANTED TO DO SINCE CHILDHOOD. STARTING OUT, HIS GOAL WAS TO CHANGE THE WORLD, TO CHANGE. JUST ONE PERSON WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME AND I’VE DONE THAT OVER MY 20 YEARS. ALTHOUGH JORDAN’S WALKING IS AFFECTED, HE SAYS HE WOULD STILL RESPOND TO THAT NOVEMBER CALL AGAIN TO HELP SOMEONE. IT WAS A REASON WHY I WAS UP THERE AND THAT WAS THOSE GUYS WILL NOW, OFFICER JORDAN WENT BACK TO WORK ON WEDNESDAY. WHILE MANY PEOPLE ARE ON THE ROADS THIS WEEKEND, HE ASKED THAT YOU BE ALERT WHILE BEHIND THE WHEEL. AND AS A REMINDER, DRIVERS ARE REQUIRED TO MOVE OVER IF THEY SEE EMERGENCY RESPONDERS WITH FLASHING LIGHTS ON THE ROAD OR AT THE VERY LEAST SLOWED DOWN TO 15 MILES BELOW THE SPEED LIMIT. NOW, JORDAN SAYS ON
