Students in Fultondale are finally able to come back to their newly built high school after a destructive EF-3 tornado tore through the campus in 2021. School was supposed to open on the first day of school which was August 8th but there were a few minor issues that needed to be fixed before starting. Students were learning online during that delay, but the wait is finally over. This past weekend, students were able to meet their teachers and experience the rebuilt Fultondale High School. In 2021, an EF-3 Tornado ripped through their campus leaving those high school students to transfer to warrior elementary school. While students were learning on another campus, Fultondale was rebuilding and preparing for the fall of 2023. The principal of Fultondale High School says they're happy to finally be open."It's a little overwhelming, but it's good and overwhelming. It's happiness and I've longed for that. I cannot wait for the kids to just be back home and this is home for them." Dr. Stephanie Robinson saidThis new building cost millions of dollars to rebuild into what it is now. It includes state-of-the-art classrooms, computer, and science labs, and career tech classrooms and is even equipped with a tornado shelter in part of the building, should there be another storm.As many return to campus, they urge student drivers to park directly in front of the school and buses and car riders to drop off will be on the right side of building nine near the hallway.

This past weekend, students were able to meet their teachers and experience the rebuilt Fultondale High School. In 2021, an EF-3 Tornado ripped through their campus leaving those high school students to transfer to warrior elementary school.
