Heat Advisory Friday with only a few spotty afternoon storms

IT’S EXCLUSIVE LIVE RADAR TRACKING STORMS. SO YOU’LL KNOW FIRST, THIS IS WVTM 13 WEATHER. THAT STRETCH OF HOT WEATHER, IT’S GOING TO CONTINUE OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. TOMORROW, ANOTHER DAY WITH A CODE ORANGE AIR QUALITY ALERT. SO THAT’S UNHEALTHY FOR THOSE SENSITIVE GROUPS, THOSE WITH RESPIRATORY ILLNESSES COULD BE AFFECTED. THAT EXTENDED STRETCH OF VERY HOT AND MOSTLY MOSTLY DRY WEATHER CONTINUES OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. THROUGH THE WEEKEND. THERE COULD BE, THOUGH, A SLIGHT UPTICK IN SOME RAIN CHANCES. A LITTLE MORE HUMIDITY WORKS IN ESPECIALLY TOMORROW HEADING INTO THE START OF THE UPCOMING WEEKEND. THE VAST MAJORITY OF CENTRAL ALABAMA DRY THIS AFTERNOON, BUT THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW THUNDERSTORMS THAT MANAGED TO GET GOING. ONE WAS RIGHT ON TOP OF DOWNTOWN BIRMINGHAM AND EVEN A LITTLE BIT OF MINOR FLOODING IN THE TYPICALLY FLOOD PRONE AREAS THAT QUICKLY WENT AWAY, DYING, SHOWER NOW OVER PRATT CITY AND FOREST DALE DRIFTING BACK TO THE WEST, 94 DEGREES AT THE AIRPORT IN BIRMINGHAM. SO NOT RAIN COOLED THERE JUST YET. 95 IN TUSCALOOSA, 97 ALABASTER, 95. GADSDEN, 96 DEGREES IN ANNISTON. THE HEAT INDEX TODAY IN MANY LOCATIONS UP ABOVE 100. EVEN IN EAST ALABAMA, IT’S GOING TO BE HOT TOMORROW AND MORE HUMID THAN IT HAS BEEN FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS. 97 DEGREES TOMORROW AFTERNOON IN LEEDS AND GETS TO 95 TO 96 TO TUSCALOOSA, AROUND 97 OR 98 DEGREES FOR MUCH OF JEFFERSON COUNTY. THE ISOLATED SHOWERS OUT THERE THIS EVENING QUICKLY GO AWAY. WE’RE DRY OVERNIGHT TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW MORNING. A FEW CLOUDS CERTAINLY POSSIBLE INTO TOMORROW AFTERNOON. A LITTLE MORE MOISTURE, A LITTLE BETTER COVERAGE OF SOME AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING POP UP, SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH SOME DRIER AIR IN PLACE THROUGHOUT THE ATMOSPHERIC COLUMN. A COUPLE OF THOSE STORMS COULD PRODUCE GUSTY WINDS. WE’RE WATCHING THE TROPICS AREA DISTURBED WEATHER. IT LIKELY WILL DEVELOP OVER THE COMING DAYS. IT’S GOING TO STAY WELL OUT IN THE ATLANTIC, LIKELY CURVING OUT TO SEA AND NOT AFFECT LAND. SO A FEW OF THOSE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE TOMORROW AND SATURDAY. BUT THE BIGGER STORY WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE HEAT. HIGH TEMPERATURES MIDDLE TO UPPER 90 EACH DAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND, THROUGH MUCH OF NEXT WEEK. AND AGAIN, MOST DA
