Friday night football has officially returned to Alabama, bringing with it WVTM 13's High School Huddle: your new home for all of the action under the lights.This week, Midfield's Patriots attempt to slay the Wenonah Dragons, who previously trounced Sylacauga 38-7.Midfield is coming off of a poor last season, with only two wins in 2022. Head coach Rod Issac, who has been with the team for 13 years, has taken the Patriots to the playoffs nine times and is looking to make it 10.Wenonah didn't fair much better in 2022, finishing with a disappointing 3-6 record. Head coach Nicholas Howard, who is entering his third season with the Dragons, hopes to lead the team to their first playoff appearance since he has taken the helm.The last time the two teams faced off, the Dragons walked away with a major victory, absolutely devouring Midfield 43-6.The Patriots get their chance to even the odds Friday night at 7 p.m.Tune in on-air at 10:15 p.m. to take a look at the best tackles, touchdowns and turnovers of the night with WVTM 13 Sports Director Ryan Hennessy and Sports Anchor Kari Osep.Don’t forget to get in on the action and vote for the Play of the Week!
