A 37-year-old Hoover man is being held in jail after charges were filed in a domestic violence incident.The Hoover Police Department reported Mardoqueo Poroj-Argueta faces charges of attempted murder, kidnapping and interference with a domestic violence emergency call.Officers were called to the Lorna Place Apartments on Treeline Court on Thursday and determined the suspect allegedly used his hands and weapons to assault his wife.The police department said Poroj-Argueta is believed to have used a trash bag in an attempt to suffocate the victim.Police expect the suspect to be moved to the county jail by Saturday evening.

Officers were called to the Lorna Place Apartments on Treeline Court on Thursday and determined the suspect allegedly used his hands and weapons to assault his wife.
