The Hoover Police Department is investigating its first nontraffic homicide since Oct. 1, 2022.Officers said they responded to Rime Village Drive at 10:59 p.m. on Dec. 24 and found a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.A 29-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene.
