Part of Interstate 59/20 in Bessemer was closed Monday afternoon.Police and law enforcement had the eastbound lanes of the interstate blocked, due to a reported wreck in that area.The eastbound lanes in the area of Academy Drive were closed just after 2 p.m. Oct. 7.The westbound lanes remained open.According to a WVTM 13 News crew at the scene, it appeared two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash.Just before 6 p.m., the Alabama State Troopers said all lanes had reopened.This is a developing story and WVTM 13 will provide additional updates when available.Follow: Interactive traffic map

Part of Interstate 59/20 in Bessemer was closed Monday afternoon.
Police and law enforcement had the eastbound lanes of the interstate blocked, due to a reported wreck in that area.
The eastbound lanes in the area of Academy Drive were closed just after 2 p.m. Oct. 7.
The westbound lanes remained open.
