UAB head football coach Trent Dilfer spoke Monday morning following the team's win against NC A&T 35-6.He spoke about the mindset to play "this type of football."Inexperience, new guys and the need to play together were all challenges that Dilfer said they've had to overcome and will continue to overcome.The offense and the ability for receivers to work to make the passing game come together is a puzzle, according to Dilfer. He noted that he saw that coming together against NC A&T for the most part."It takes everybody. BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —

UAB head football coach Trent Dilfer spoke Monday morning following the team's win against NC A&T 35-6.

He spoke about the mindset to play "this type of football."

Inexperience, new guys and the need to play together were all challenges that Dilfer said they've had to overcome and will continue to overcome.

The offense and the ability for receivers to work to make the passing game come together is a puzzle, according to Dilfer. He noted that he saw that coming together against NC A&T for the most part.

"It takes everybody. If there's a message I have for football it's that it takes everybody," Dilfer said.

Since the team played on a Thursday, it had the weekend to look at other competitors.
