Leighton Meester Reacts to Husband Adam Brody’s “Hot Rabbi” Nickname

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester have the kind of relationship that everybody wants.

And his Nobody Wants This costar Jackie Tohn stressed as much. Just days after Netflix announced that the Gossip Girl alum would be guest starring alongside her husband in the series’ second season, the GLOW actress gushed over their endearing relationship.

“They’re couple goals and beyond,” Jackie exclusively told E! News Feb. 24 at Cure Addiction Now's Inaugural Fundraising Evening. “Adam, he’s just an incredible guy.” (For more interviews from the evening, tune in to E! News tonight, Feb. 25 at 11 p.m.)

And though she had only recently had the pleasure of meeting Leighton, Jackie immediately took a liking to the 38-year-old.

“I only met her through Adam when we started shooting,” she explained, “and she is—she’s like a salt of the Earth, she’s as funny as she is pretty and you’re like, ‘Oh that’s annoying, ugh.’ She’s great.”

As for what is in store for Leighton’s character in the show? In the Feb. 20 announcement posted to X (formerly Twitter), Netflix revealed that she will be playing “Kristen Bell’s middle school nemesis who Joanne crosses paths with as an adult.”

But regardless of what the next season has in store for her and Adam’s character Noah, the two are no strangers to working together on set. Indeed, they previously appeared together in projects like The Oranges, Single Parents and River Wild.

In fact, Adam recently expressed that they absolutely adore any opportunity to join forces.

"We don't have a dream project," he shared on Live From E!: Golden Globes in January, adding, "We always like to work together when it comes up."

"Almost everything we do,” he added, “they're like, 'Would your husband or wife want to be in this as well?’”

But it turns out, Adam isn’t the only one that has been waiting to work with Leighton once again. His costar Kristen Bell—who was previously linked to Leighton as the Gossip Girl narrator as well as Veronica Mars years prior—also expressed just how she excited she is to welcome the Monte Carlo actress to the cast.

“Leighton Meester is blessing us with her presence,” Kristen told E! News in a recent interview before adding that her entry “will be fun” because “she is not my nemesis” offscreen.
