Former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions had high praise for retiring Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson, calling him “one of the greatest mayors Alabama has ever had.”

Sessions, who served as attorney general from 2017 to 2018 and represented Alabama in the U.S. Senate from 1997 to 2017, is a longtime Mobile resident. He lauded Stimpson’s performance over his three terms as mayor.
