Leeds man sentenced for role in U.S. Capitol riot

(Video above is from an earlier news report)A Leeds, Alabama, man was sentenced to prison for his role in the January 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol.According to a news release from the Department of Justice (DOJ), Joshua Black, 46, was sentenced to 22 months in prison for three felony charges and two misdemeanors, and an additional 24 months of supervised release and restitution of $2,000.Authorities say Black was identified from a photograph taken on the Senate floor and from two YouTube videos he made in which he spoke about how the crowd became an angry mob because they thought President Donald Trump's election was stolen.The DOJ said more than 1,000 individuals have been arrested in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol.

A Leeds, Alabama, man was sentenced to prison for his role in the January 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
