Man identified after found shot and killed in Fairfield hotel room Saturday
A man found shot and killed in a Fairfield hotel was identified Monday.The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reported deputies were called to a hotel on Kelco Place at about 11:21 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, to investigate a person shot.When deputies arrived, they found a barricaded suspect who was in one of the rooms at the hotel, said the sheriff's office.The JCSO said the suspect soon surrendered without incident.Deputies found a 35-year-old man with apparent gunshot wounds at the scene, said the JCSO.The Jefferson County Coroner Medical Examiner's Office stated the victim, Paul Stanley of Birmingham, died just before 12 p.m.The sheriff's office said the suspect arrested is a 28-year-old man.Stay up to date: The latest headlines and weather from WVTM 13
